Pauline MURRAY

Pauline Murray is a graduate of Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen where she specialised in Drawing and Painting. She lives in the North East of Scotland and works as both an artist and a teacher of Art and Design.

Pauline has exhibited widely in Scotland in solo and group exhibitions and her work now features in numerous private collections.

Pauline Murray finds inspiration in the landscape of the North East of Scotland – the textures and colours of the land and the raw coastline. Pauline’s subject matter extends from the local landscape to still life and portraiture to, more recently, semi-abstract and symbolist works. Vibrant, bold colours and a loose, expressive use of paint typify her work and locate her within the new wave of Scottish Colourists whom she numbers among her influences.
