Nicola Macdonell has painted since childhood, selling her first paintings as a teenager in Inverness.

Since then, having trained as a draughtsman and studying interior design, she returned to painting which was always her main passion. She is a versatile artist with a strong interest in interpreting both landscape and still life in her own distinctive and often colourful style.

From the early 90's she has been working as a full time artist, and much of her work is commissioned.

Nicola works from her studios in the Black Isle and the Isle of Tiree.
