This week I've hung new paintings at the gallery, the airport, the Private Jet Lounge, the Dairy at Daviot and the Dentist. It all went well apart from the laminating machine eating the labels.

Ben Southern turned up today with some interesting paintings based on Cromarty - I am working hard on my new website and you'll see them there when it launches soon (meanwhile you can check out the present website, it's fairly up to date ..)

A busy day at the gallery today, and we now sell chocolate bars that help endangered species of wildlife ..... (well it seems a good cause, and it's a local firm and the man was so nice ....)

Just spent the evening at the "Tore Two" gallery at Inverness airport and hung some great paintings by ISABELL DICKSON, MARGARET COWIE and JANE MACRAE. One of the best exhibitions we've had there yet and it's on until the end of August - remember to look in the restaurant area before you go through to the departure lounge!

TALK on the HISTORY OF REDCASTLE: Graham Clark is giving a talk with slides on the history of Redcastle on Friday May 21st at 7.30 p.m. Graham has just published a huge tome on the very subject (available in hardback at the gallery, £20). The evening is free (supported by Awards for All) and there will be refreshments BUT YOU MUST BOOK YOUR SEAT as we only have 50 chairs. Phone or e-mail the gallery.

Georgina Coburn has reviewed Denise Davis's exhibition "Across the Carpathians" on the Hi-arts website. It runs until the end of May so don't miss it - these paintings have real impact. <br />Clare has escaped to Andalucia for a couple of weeks and then she'll be back with a suitcase of fresh paintings - but the gallery is open as usual and she left a big jar of shortbread to have with the coffee.

Winter weather returned today with a vengeance but my newly planted primulas on the gallery doorstep seem to be surviving the horizontal sleet - why did they always build churches on windy spots? Susan and I have been working hard getting the new exhibition organised for Friday - some lovely things! Tonight I touched up the bits of floor that somehow missed the varnish .....
