Isabell DICKSON
Isabell is an oil painter based in Inverness who has become well-known for her strong and vigourous approach to the highland landscape in oil paint. Her seascapes, too, are full of movement and energy, in contrast to the still calm of her winter scenes, and the textural nature of her mixed-media work.
"I started painting after I retired from teaching and I have attended courses in various parts of Britain and abroad. I take my inspiration from the land and seascapes of the Highlands, responding to their changing moods and seasons. I try to convey the movement and power of the landscape through the medium of oil paint with its rich colours and textures."
