TORE art gallery
ART IN SCOTLAND
just a few miles north of Inverness
You will find a warm welcome at the largest gallery in the Highlands, a huge renovated church building always filled with an extensive, exciting and varied selection of original work from established and emerging artists. The contemporary art that we choose offers a visual experience that is enriching and uplifting; most importantly the works are able to speak for themselves with honesty, skill, beauty and clarity.
CHRISTMAS is not only about wall-hung art at Tore - we have a huge selection of small arts and crafts and other original gift ideas, all very affordable. (see the EXHIBITIONS pages). The Christmas Exhibition opens on 16th Novemberwith mulled wine - all welcome. In fact we'll be serving mulled wine every weekend during the run-up to Christmas, and will be open on Sunday afternoons as well.
NEXT MUSICAL EVENT:
Anne McIntyre and the indomitable Black Isle Singers present music and carols on Sunday 21st December 2008 (daytime)- see Concerts page
Tore Art Gallery has gained a reputation for offering a wide choice of contemporary artists in varied styles and media, in an environment that is relaxed, friendly and welcoming to all (including familes).
We also stock the largest variety of good-quality greetings cards in the area, along with interesting designer jewellery, glass, ceramics and many kinds of applied art very suitable for collectors or for special gifts.
Tore Art Gallery is situated on the Black Isle, 10 minutes north of Inverness, one mile west of Tore Roundabout (A9). Our building has been a landmark since 1860 - the former Free Church at Killearnan has been sensitively renovated to provide a spacious, light and airy gallery.
